Art Modules: 10 week curriculum, from pencil modules to acrylic.
Exciting News! Art Friends Creative Classes now enrolling @ Padbury Village Hall 🎨
At Art Friends, you can choose between individual art modules; such as pencil, watercolour, or acrylic, or opt for the full 10-week term to explore a wide range of art forms. This comprehensive creative journey introduces you to various techniques and styles, helping you discover your unique artistic voice and passion along the way. Each of our classes have our art tutor demonstrate the subject of the day, and will provide all reference material for you to follow if you wish.
Week 1 we look at pencils. HB to 8B. How to work with depth of colour and an intro to composition.
Week 2 Inspired by Degas's use of light, we look at portraiture in soft pastels and look at colour theory.
Weeks 3 Fun with watercolour wash and use of pen, to create a Buckingham scene on paper.
Weeks 4 Inspired by the masterery of Gustav Klimt, we explore watercolour, ink and gold pens.
Weeks 5 Welcome to oil pastels. We look at building up colour, layering and Sgraffito techniques.
Week 6 Whimsical illustration week, looking at Beatrix Potter and working with watercolours and ink.
Week 7 British canal waterways, in watercolours. Big skyes and reflections in Autumn hues.
Week 8 Spooky Halloween week, in inks and pen work. Lifting techniques and sampling.
Week 9 The world of acrylics. Van Gogh inspired bonfire scenes, working with impasto.
Week 10 The world of acrylics. Stormy Autumn skies, inspired by the work of David Hockney.
