Art Modules: 10 week curriculum, from pencil modules to acrylic.

Exciting News! Art Friends Creative Classes are now enrolling for Spring 2026 @ Padbury Village Hall 🎨

At Art Friends, you can choose between individual art modules; such as pencil, watercolour, or acrylic, or opt for the full 10-week term to explore a wide range of art forms. This comprehensive creative journey introduces you to various techniques and styles, helping you discover your unique artistic voice and passion along the way. Each of our classes have our art tutor demonstrate the subject of the day, and will provide all reference material for you to follow if you wish.

Please find here our upcoming spring term classes, starting in January 2026

Week 1 British Hedgehog we look at pencils. HB to 8B. How to work with depth of colour and an intro to composition.

Week 2 Smokey London Introduction to the vanishing point. Working in graphite creating depth and contrast.

Week 3 Norway Lights Introduction to oil pastels. Explore different coloured paper, smudging sticks and blending.

Week 4 Taj Mahal Introduction to watercolour painting. Create a colour wheel, and explore wash techniques.

Week 5 Morocco Brings us to Marakesh. Colourful tangines in watercolour, create ellipses and add gold detail.

Week 6 Mount Fuji watercolour washes and composition technique. Work with pen and stencil to create bold graphic shapes.

Week 7 Rio Samba Experiment with pointillism (lots of small dots) to create soft watercolour art, Complementary colour theory.

Week 8 Lunar New Year Introduction to acrylc paint, learn about 'grounding' and layering. Applying also gold leaf mixed media.

Week 9 African Plains The world of acrylics. working with a palette knife to create impasto (textural) art,

Week 10 New Orleans Abstract portraiture, working with shapes, contrasting colour & composition.

Spring Term: Mondays January 12th Jan - 16th March

We're in the wonderful village hall.

There is free parking in the rear carpark.
