Welcome to Art Friends

At Art Friends, we offer 10 creative art classes per term, that provides loads of benefits for both beginners and those with painting experience.

Our 10 week class courses are also designed for small numbers of students. We host a maximum of 16 people per class, to ensure our tutor has the adequate time to support you on your artistic journey.

The 10 week course, first covers foundation techniques, such as pencil work, composition and perspectives, before delving into watercolour, acrylic and mixed medium. Ensuring your get a holistic reconnection with art.

Amazing work from Art Friends autumn's term 2025:

Week 1 - Pencil introduction. Working with pencils HB-8B

Week 2 - We explored portraiture in chalk pastels in the style of Degas

Week 3 - Lowry visited Buckingham with our artworks painted in ink

Week 4 - Amazing Klimt. We worked in watercolour and added gold pen for details!

Week 5 - We explored oil pastels. Working with smudging sticks to blend

Week 6 - Delicate watercolour in the style of Beatrix Potter, working with washes and pen

Week 7 - J.M.W Turner joined us inspirationally with our watercolour art of the canals

Week 8 - Watercolour glazing. Looking at the art of Paul Klee, inspiring our paintings and colour palette

Week 9 - Bonfire night painted with acrylic in impasto, using thick layers and palette knife. Inspiration Vincent van Gogh

Week 10 - We culminated our Autumn term in acrylic. Stormy skies in the style of David Hockney

Most of our students don't have prior art experience, we teach all levels of foundational art and we take you through each class step by step to ensure you learn new skills, have fun and build confidence in your artistic journey.

Welcome to 2026. What's new this Spring?

Padbury classes resume ocn Mondays 12th January 2026 - 10am to 1pm.

NEW! Winslow classes start on Wednesday 14th January 2026 - 10am to 1pm

We only host maximum of 16 students per class (so we can maximise one-to-one tutoring), so enrolment is essential to reserve your place.
